7. Col. Mustafa - 1992
Despite being one of the biggest names in wrestling history, The Iron Sheik only managed to appear in one Royal Rumble match. This is merely down to timing. The Sheik left the WWE just before the first Royal Rumble before coming back for one final run almost four years later. On his return, repackaged as Col. Mustafa, Sheik was paired with his former nemesis Sargent Slaughter as the pair portrayed Iraqi sympathisers. This was significant as it was during the first Gulf War and would lead to a feud with Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior. At 1992's Rumble the Colonel played a very small part, entering at number 24. He lasted just over two-and-a-half minutes before being eliminated by WWE Hall of Fame inductee 'Macho Man' Randy Savage. Colonel was there just to make up the numbers. This was evident as he spent well over two minutes of his time in the ring battling Virgil.
