Tale of the Tape

Pete Dunne: 5ft 10ins / 205 lbs / 1x WWE UK Champion, 1x NXT Tag Team Champion

Dynamite Kid: 5ft 8ins / 229 lbs / 1x WWF Tag Team Champion, WON's Best Flying Wrestler and Best Technical Wrestler (1984)

Dunne vs. Dynamite would have been an experience; a match akin to trying to combine the artistry of ballet with the brutality of a head-on car crash. While Dynamite was lauded for his technical and high flying skills, he was equally known for the hard hitting style he brought as a graduate of Stu Hart's Dungeon. Dynamite famously shattered Mick Foley's jaw with a stiff Hook Clothesline, leaving 'the Hardcore Legend' on a liquid diet during his rehabilitation. Yet, his technical bouts against Tiger Mask still more than hold up today.

As fans of Dunne, it may seem odd that we'd pit him against a man so notoriously violent that he has an episode of Dark Side of the Ring dedicated to him. Nevertheless, the Bruiserweight is known for his own wincing brand of offense (admittedly camped by PG programming) and is more than capable of bringing the brutality.

This match may be a watch through your fingers clash, but what you'd see between the gaps would be golden.
