5. Kurt Angle Vs. Kenny Omega

Tale of the Tape

Kurt Angle: 5ft 10in / 220 lbs / 4x WWE Champion, 6x TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Hall of Famer

Kenny Omega: 6ft 0in / 218 lbs / 1x AEW World Champion, 1x Impact World Champion, 1x IWGP Heavyweight Champion

A war between two technical masterminds, with Angle bringing a more traditional mat-based style and Omega a modern brand of technical wrestling that is heavily influenced by the Japanese style, would be a spectacle to behold. Also, in terms of character work, Angle is someone Omega should look to for inspiration. Kurt is able to run the full gambit of the face/heel spectrum, while succeeding at every point.

Kurt famously won a freestyle wrestling gold medal (Summer Olympics 1996) with a broken neck, however, the accumulation of his twenty years as a pro-wrestler forced even him to retire from in-ring competition. His in-ring career spanned from a loss to Tom Prichard in World Wresting Alliance (20th August 1998) to a loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 (7th April 2019). During which he put his body through so much that he is now "in extreme pain all day long."
