9. Bray Wyatt Was Inspired By Max Cady

Current WWE superstar Bray Wyatt is a character performed by Windham Rotunda who had previously portrayed Husky Harris in the Nexus. Wyatt's gimmick is that of an evil cult leader who believes himself to be more monster than human. Alongside Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, he formed the Wyatt Family stable, of which he was the leader. He is modelled around the character of Max Cady from the Cape Fear movies - portrayed by Robert Mitchum in the 1962 version and by Robert De Niro in the 1992 remake. Cady is a man who, like Wyatt, considers himself to be more than human, speaks in tongues and wants to teach people valuable lessons in bizarre ways. He also dresses very similar to Wyatt, wearing colourful shirts in both movie incarnations and a similar hat in the Mitchum version.
