10 Insane Revelations From Secret WWE Leaks

8. Commentators Can't Be 'Crude', Should Drop Cultural References

In 2015, the do's and don't's of commentary notes leaked, and they are incredible.

The very first note is 'Take the high road - don't be crude, especially with the Divas'. Jerry Lawler no-sold this directive like Road Warrior Hawk no-selling a f*cking piledriver. Even long past the Attitude Era, Lawler was so horned-up that he looked like an internet-deprived Randy Marsh every Monday night at the merest stroll of a tanned leg.

"The use of topical info as analogies and examples is effective if not forced."

"If not forced."

"If not forced."

"MUCH LIKE ABBA, WE NEED TO THANK PITBULL FOR THE MUSIC OF TONIGHT'S NXT TAKEOVER! AND MAMMA MIA, MUCH LIKE VINCE MCMAHON DOESN'T PAY ENOUGH MONEY MONEY MONEY TO THE SUPER TROUPERS OF THE NXT ROSTER, I DON'T PAY ENOUGH ATTENTION TO THIS NOTE, NIGEL!"

"Yes Mauro."

WWE commentators are also unable to say "The referee didn't see it," because this suggests incompetence on behalf of the officials, when instead, they could just, you know, not book a load of sh*tty finishes to the point of complete meaninglessness.

In one 'Do', commentators are encouraged to understand the "heritage and history of the business". In a 'Don't', commentators are not allowed to f*cking say "the business".
