What's most crazy about this story, is that WWE refusing any request from Brock Lesnar is extremely rare. Seemingly, whatever Lesnar wants, Lesnar gets. Usually, that tends to take the form of a ridiculous amount of cash for a miniscule amount of working dates.

One thing WWE has stopped the Beast Incarnate from doing in recent years, is Brock is now unable to compete in MMA fights while under contract with Vince McMahon's sports entertainment promotion. This was reported by Dave Meltzer back in 2018.

A former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Lesnar last fought at UFC 200 back in July 2016. There, he had a unanimous decision victory over knockout specialist Mark Hunt.

The issue WWE has with any further ventures into MMA for Brock isn't due to the risk of him getting hurt, but more a result of the bad press his last fight brought. Famously, that UFC 200 victory was overturned and ruled a non-contest after Lesnar failed a drug test.

Following the Hunt bout, Brock was pushing WWE to allow him to have more UFC outings - obviously with Lesnar particularly eyeing a super fight with Jon Jones - but McMahon's company has been strict in its stance over these past few years.
