10 Insane Wrestling Paydays

1. Brock Lesnar - $600,000 For Monday Night Raw & Greatest Royal Rumble

'The Beast' allegedly pocketing $500,000 per pay-per-view and $100,000 every time he turns up on television belongs at the top of this list not just because it's the most topical - it's also the closest WWE have ever come to some of the WCW wastefulness elsewhere on this list.

Clearly in some sort of arrested development of late, McMahon's propensity for refilling his roster with the things he likes was most prevalent during the 10-bell salute for Bruno Sammartino on Monday Night Raw. McMahon was flanked by Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman - three absolute f*cking giants, and men that would comfortably pass The Chairman's airport test even if they look as though they'd potentially fail another.

Lesnar is one more monster for his collection, but currently the only one that could objectively be considered a megastar. Through the company's own failings rather than Brock's overt success lately, the former UFC Champion has remained in an alternative orbit to most of the main roster rank-and-file, Reigns included. His magnetic aura - to Vince at least - isn't quite worth its weight gold, but isn't priceless either. Former bounced cheque aficionado Paul Heyman creaming an agent's fee only adds to the insanity.
