10 Insane Wrestling Paydays

Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were famously made offers they couldn't refuse when WCW went in hard on WWE during Eric Bischoff's aggressive mid-1990s hiring spree, trousering guaranteed money (then a virtual impossibility working for Vince McMahon) as well as a reduced number of dates from the company's notoriously over-stretched schedule.

It wasn't just the seven-figure sums and extra days off that made life 'Too Sweet' for the soon-to-be-named Outsiders. 'Big Sexy' has since revealed 'favoured nations' clauses they'd had inserted that ensured pay increases in line with with any other performer getting rises underneath the aforementioned astronomical figure commanded by Hulk Hogan. Sting gets a bonus? Nash and Hall are bumped up. Lex Luger renegotiates? The wolf-pack are back in the hunt. The duo had made it up to $1.45million minimum by the time the company went out of business.

Nash always used to live by the credo that "only two things were real in wrestling - the money and the miles". Focussing acutely on both factors subversively made him one of the best workers in the entire industry.
