9. Hide And Seek
Only in a Royal Rumble match can someone win by never stepping foot in the match. But that is actually one of the more obvious loopholes of Pat Patterson's brainchild that very few wrestlers have ever thought to exploit.
But there is always an exception to every rule, and in WWE's case there has been at least a couple. During the 1996 Rumble, Jerry 'The King' Lawler drew the unenviable number 4 spot but didn't seem too phased. That was until his nemesis Jake Roberts appeared complete with a gigantic snake, forcing Lawler to quickly slide out of the ring and out of sight.
For a while, everyone forgot that Lawler was even in the match. But when cameras showed him peeking from underneath the ring, it became obvious that he was going to hide under there the whole match, winning by default. Unfortunately for 'The King', eventual winner Shawn Michaels would spoil his plan by dragging him back into the match kicking and screaming before dumping him over the top rope with a single punch.
Former WWE talent Zelina Vega tried something similar in 2019 but quickly regretted her decision when she came face-to-face with Hornswoggle who apparently lives underneath every WWE ring. Who knew?.
