10 Insane WWE Moments That Frightened The Fans

7. Paul Bearer's Bad Day

The Great American Bash saw one of the strangest bookings of a wrestler we've ever seen.

The Undertaker took on both of The Dudley Boyz in a handicap match with Paul Bearer on the outside of the ring... in a glass box. The stipulation read that if 'Taker lost the match, that box Paul sat inside of would be filled to the top with cement, essentially killing him live on pay-per-view.

Despite (or because of) the threat of literal murder, people still bought the show to see whether or not The Undertaker could save his 13 year-long manager. 'The Phenom' did indeed beat The Dudleyz, but that didn't necessarily mean Bearer was safe.

After pinning D-Von, Undertaker took a microphone up to the cement truck and shockingly said "Paul, I have no other choice, rest in peace" before burying him in cement anyway. Not only was this strange booking, but the stunt double who was actually inside of that glass box was actually trapped in the fake cement for a short while until a safe escape through a trap door.

WWE have technically ended a pay-per-view with simulated murder; great stuff.
