In 2001, vignettes began to appear on SmackDown!, in which a figure would be seen stalking the Undertakers wife, Sara. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkV67VCfpOg In his promo, the stalker seems to be desperate to have Sara for himself, suggesting that he might want to take her from her husband. He mentions the classic stalkers phrases: youre all alone, wherever Sara is, Ill be, and Undertaker, I dont like you keeping Sara away from me. In saying these lines, the stalker demonstrates a clear sense of narcissism, in which he thinks that he is entitled to Sara. On June 18th, 2001, the stalker was revealed as Diamond Dallas Page, who did all of that stalking in the hopes of the Undertaker making him famous. His actions line up with the definition of insanity that I provided earlier: he was clearly acting in an unreasonable fashion, thinking that Sara was his to have. Stalker or not, going after the Undertakers wife the way he did was like throwing rocks at a nest of bees: you think youre in control, but in the end youll get hurt, which is exactly what happened to DDP. He went after the biggest dog in the yard, and got mauled. Its that kind of folly that causes someone to end up committed.
