10 Insider Pro Wrestling Terms That WWE Fans Get Wrong All The Time
If you use any of these terms, you might want to think twice about it.
As the internet becomes a bigger and bigger part of the pro wrestling industry, fans are finding themselves getting involved in backstage news and insider terminology that was previously unavailable to those not officially working in the industry. However, this new access can be both a blessing and a curse. For fans who crave knowledge, this is a great time, as you get to read about any and every little thing going on, even if a lot of the information presented to you ends up being, at worst, an outright lie, or at best, a slightly skewed version of the truth. That knowledge does come with a price, though, as is the case with just about anything that people begin to learn about. Terms and lingo used in wrestling are often quite unique, but they're also used incorrectly far more often than not by wrestling fans. Sometimes it's because people think they're more "in the know" than they actually are. Other times, it's an honest mistake, like when you're told something incorrectly and pass it on that way. Even some of the most widely-used terms are often used in an incorrect way, and it only seems to be getting worse as time goes on. These ten terms are things that you'll see on social media, message boards, and everywhere else on the internet. We all use them, and probably use them regularly, but you have to pay close attention to the way you use them. Chances are, you're wrong, but we've all been guilty of it in the past at least once.
