10 Insights Into Brock Lesnar's New WWE Deal

7. More Media?

One remarkable aspect of Lesnar's previous WWE contract was the fact that he didn't have to do media work. He'd show up on Raw and his PPV dates, but that was about it. That wasn't ideal for WWE, as they are usually aggressive in placing their wrestlers across media. A guy like John Cena does radio shows, tv spots and charity appearances all in the space of a morning. Particularly in WrestleMania week, most wrestlers are having days filled with media work. As arguably the biggest mainstream star, it would be helpful to WWE if Lesnar took more of that work on. WWE perhaps tried to push for more media dates in his new contract. It could be one of the reasons why the negotiations got held up a few weeks back. The fact that Lesnar did SportsCenter this week is a clue that he's agreed to do a little more media in his new deal. Just don't expect him to be on a Cena schedule.
