5. Sanity Fair
Before the title matches got underway, a mysterious video aired for both the fans in attendance and those watching at home. It opened with an old-timey TV countdown, then went into clips of hospital hallways, people in gas masks, and rioting. It closed with one word on the screen - "sanity."
Usually, hype vignettes for upcoming debuts are a bit more explanatory than this. At the very least, viewers can usually make guesses about who they might be advertising. This one, though, was pretty hard to figure out. Roderick Strong, Tommy End, and Eric Young are all rumored to be arriving in NXT pretty soon, but nothing in the video specifically pointed to any of them.
If the Ember Moon vignettes were any indication, we may get more information as soon as the next video. In any event, the fans at Barclays Center were baffled, and we've got a good, old-fashioned wrestling mystery on our hands.
