10 Irritating Wrestling Chants WWE Fans Really Need To Let Go
10. Show Your T***s!
Misogynistic, aggressive, perverted and just a bit creepy. This chant really needs no explanation. Even back in the late 90s when WWE and ECW showed as much female flesh as they could get away with, and fans were encouraged to drool over the gorgeous half naked women, it was disrespectful. Granted, sex sells. But even ECW showed some restraint - at times. When fans start screaming at trained professional athletes (or even just half trained models who can't wrestle) to get naked, it just takes wrestling down a dark path that ruins the fun for everybody. We're not made of stone. We all like a good bit of titillation every now and then. But that's all it is. Just a tease. Women in wrestling have always been used in a sexual way, but it's still expected of the fans to show some respect. Even the female heels do not deserve to be treated like strippers. That chant just brought out the worst in wrestling fans.
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
