Wrestling fans are a vocal bunch. Try not to look too surprised. From the simple days when all that was necessary was cheers for the good guys and boos for the villains, professional wrestling has evolved over generations to incorporate more fan interaction than ever before. Fans have entertained themselves by voicing their opinions in catchy rhythms for the better part of twenty years and in some ways they are as much a part of the show as the wrestlers themselves. The atmosphere created by a rowdy live audience adds to the viewing experience and when done correctly can make a bad match good, and a great match epic. Then again, when done incorrectly fans and their chants can be distracting, annoying and downright infuriating. Chants which are overused, nonsensical, outdated, and even offensive We are all for freedom of expression. We believe fans who pay for tickets to live wrestling shows have a right to enjoy themselves as they see fit. But when it comes to these chants, we'd honestly rather hear R-Truth pretending to rap, or Michael Cole desperately try to plug the WWE Network for the 9.99th time.
