10 John Cena Matches We Still Need To See

1. Vs. The Undertaker

When Brock Lesnar hit The Undertaker with a third F5 on that fateful night back in 2014, a whole host of potential Undertaker WrestleMania matches lost steam. Sure, the inevitability of an Undertaker victory was always there, but that didn't make his matches against Triple H, Shawn Michaels and CM Punk any less enjoyable.

The biggest name missing from Taker's WrestleMania list is quite clearly John Cena, and whilst it wouldn't come with the juice it would have with The Streak on the line it is still the biggest match available to WWE for their biggest show of the year.

Taker doesn't have many Manias left in him either, so WWE really needs to go forward with this match sooner rather than later. If not it will forever sit atop the 'WrestleMania Matches That Never Happened' pile, and nobody wants that do they? It could have happened this year but an injury to Cena got in the way, and WWE can't continue to put it on the back-burner.

Whether you are a fan of either man or not, John Cena vs. The Undertaker is as 'WrestleMania' as matches get. It needs to happen, it should happen, but will it happen?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
