10. Chris Benoit vs. Booker T - WCW Great American Bash 1998
Younger fans may remember the Best Of Seven series between Chris Benoit and Booker T over the WWE United States Championship in 2005, but slightly older viewers will recall another, way back in 1998. Both under contract to WCW at the time, Benoit and Booker produced the goods every single time they were in the ring together, and none were better than this match from the Great American Bash. The winner would get a crack at Fit Finlay's TV Title later on the in the PPV, and it's obvious upon watching this one now that WCW should really have done more with Benoit and Booker T. Yes, both men would eventually capture the WCW World Title, but they were never true top liners in the company for a sustained period of time, when they really should have been. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4tspr_great-american-bash-1998-chris-beno_sport The main event of this show was a short bout pitting Sting against The Giant, so it was never going to be hard for these two workhorses to steal the show, which they most certainly did. Simply by putting these two men in a situation which let them wrestle lengthy matches endeared them to the audience, and was a great way to open up any show.
