4. Juventud Guerrera vs. Blitzkrieg - WCW Spring Stampede 1999
By 1999, severe cracks were showing in the WCW formula. Relying far too heavily on the biggest names of the 1980's and 90's, the company had failed to produce any new stars of their own to carry them into the new millennium. Obviously, Goldberg was the exception to this, but fans were tiring of the same mix of stars in the top line scene. Thank goodness then that the undercard still featured some of the best wrestling fans could get their hands on. Even though ideas were running dry, WCW shows could be still be relied upon for at least a few good matches, bouts such as the opener to Spring Stampede 1999. Relatively unknown, Blitzkrieg had only been with WCW for less than a year, yet he and Juventud Guerrera tore it up for the fans in Tacoma, Washington here. A dazzling display of dives and aerial madness followed, and not even Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman for the WCW Cruiserweight Title later in the card could match what was on offer here. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xx997d_wcw-spring-stampede-1999-blitzkrieg-vs-juventud-guerrera_sport There will be fans who have never seen this match before, so it's advised that you check it out here, and enjoy some of the best Cruiserweight action ever seen in mainstream wrestling.
