When Paul Bearer started warning The Undertaker that a storm was coming, before revealing that it was his brother Kane who was about to arrive in WWE, fans didn't really know what to expect. Many suspected this would be some new monster wrestler, who would have one feud with 'Taker before being banished back to the wasteland. Kane did turn out to be a monster, but he's one that's stuck around ever since. In October, 1997, The Undertaker was embroiled in the first ever Hell In A Cell match with Shawn Michaels at an In Your House PPV. The bout was capturing the collective imagination of the fans in attendance, and would have went down in history even if it had went down without a hitch. That "hitch" happened to be the 7 foot Kane, who literally ripped the door off the Cell, pounding his storyline blood with a Tombstone Piledriver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASmdxXaOzd4 Kane was a frightening sight, and it was such a memorable first appearance for the character. Previously, Glenn Jacobs had played Jerry Lawler's dentist, as well as the "Fake" Diesel, so this must have been a breath of fresh air. It's been a long lasting breath, that's for sure.
