10 Lamest Wrestling Authority Figures

6. The WWE Raw Guest Hosts

Baron Corbin
WWE

WWE's Guest Host era of Monday Night Raw between 2009 and 2010 was emblematic of the dreadful creative malaise at the time. A completely random celebrity would hitch their wagon to The Bella Twins for some reason, then make matches and trouble for anybody without a longstanding storyline.

Brie and Nikki would walk out either side of the disinterested party - themselves coming cheap (or free) to use and abuse Raw's valuable airtime to plug whatever entirely unrelated product they were trying to sell at the time. Segments ranged from rank to redundant, with few ever threatening to entertain and even less forwarding other stories. Worse still, the tabloid 'mainstream' rarely appeared interested.

Bob Barker's 'Price Is Right' segment is fondly remembered, because it was just about the only fond moment buried in a year's worth of utter tripe. Will Forte and Kristen Wiig flogged Saturday Night Live dead horse 'Macgruber', Cheech and Chong went through the motions 30 years after their cinematic debut, whilst Jeremy Piven rebranded WWE's second biggest pay-per-view as 'SummerFest'. Fortuitously for WWE, Barker's glorious effort thankfully never asked the contestants to put a price on Raw's output at the time.
