10 Last-Minute WWE Backlash 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
2. Apollo Crews Scores A Victory
The only babyface on the Smackdown roster who doesn't currently have anything going on for Backlash is Apollo Crews (Jason Jordan doesn't have a match, but he's a tag team wrestler whose partner is hurt). The fact that he's coming off a great showing against The Miz on last Tuesday's Smackdown only makes that more odd.
Again, there are only six matches on the card at Backlash. No matter what happens (and undoubtedly, we'll get some stupid sketches), there'll need to be at least one more contest added to the show, and so Crews will get a chance to wrestle - and win.
Erick Rowan could make a good opponent, but he's most likely being kept off of TV until he can do something with Bray Wyatt. The most likely scenario is that Crews will take on either Fandango or Tyler Breeze, with his opponent's partner running interference. Despite that, though, Crews will pick up the win.
