10 Last-Minute WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Rumours You Need To Know
9. The Hardys Break
The Hardy Boyz may still be Raw Tag Team Champions, but that doesn't mean that things have been easy for them as of late. After successfully defending their titles against Sheamus and Cesaro at Payback, The Hardyz were attacked by the former champs, finding a brand new pair of archenemies in the process. Since that show, Sheamus and Cesaro have been gunning for the legendary tandem.
Thanks to Matt Hardy scoring a singles victory over Sheamus, the champs were able to choose the stipulation for the title bout, and they selected a steel cage match. Both Matt and Jeff have had some very memorable cage matches in the past, so this bout being an exciting one isn't really up for debate - the winners, however, very much are.
If Sheamus and Cesaro end up reclaiming the championships, could it be enough to "break" The Hardys, sending them into a spiral that sees them reprise their ultra-successful TNA characters? Lately, there's been a lot of contradictory news as to whether WWE is even interested in introducing the "broken" gimmick to the company, so for now, this is quite a longshot.
