10 Last-Minute WWE No Mercy 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
8. Dean Ambrose Will Be Written Off TV
One of the more difficult-to-substantiate rumors to emerge on the road to No Mercy involves Dean Ambrose. According to buzz, Ambrose - who has been the company's undisputed workhorse over the past couple of years, wrestling more matches than anybody - is in need of a break.
Ambrose has certainly earned some rest. For four years, he's done anything and everything asked of him - from falling off a Hell in a Cell to being suplexed on a pile of chairs by Brock Lesnar - and he's become one of the company's most popular superstars by hook or crook. Now that his run with the WWE World Championship is over, will he take a break?
It seems unlikely, simply because of the talent situation on Smackdown. The blue brand is really at a loss for main-event stars in general, and given that John Cena is about to take some time off, WWE really needs Ambrose. It's been reported that he'll be filming a WWE movie next month, but that's also unconfirmed. It's more likely that Ambrose is sticking around when the company needs him most.
