10 Last-Minute WWE No Mercy 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
3. Dolph Ziggler Will Lose
When Dolph Ziggler announced that he was putting his career on the line against Miz's Intercontinental Title, there was a bit of a groan from fans. Typically, when a wrestler in his prime threatens to retire if he loses, he wins. This feud - and The Miz's Intercontinental Title reign altogether - had been too good to have such a clearly-telegraphed ending.
Since then, though, the possible of Dolph losing the match and leaving Smackdown has become very, very real. Rumors (admittedly unsubstantiated) have been circling that Dolph is thinking about looking for work elsewhere, either as a wrestler, as a stand-up comedian, or as some other kind of entertainer. Bryan Alvarez has spoken about the potential of Dolph moving to a backstage, producer-type role.
There's also the possibility that Dolph could lose and take some time off before returning, maybe even as a heel in The Miz's employ. All in all, by now, it seems more likely that Miz will be winning than Dolph, and given The Miz's work lately, that's for the best. Still, there's enough doubt on either side that the match should be incredibly suspenseful.
