10 Last-Minute WWE No Mercy 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
4. A Disputed Finish In The Swagger-Corbin Match
Jack Swagger and Baron Corbin have been feuding since Swagger joined the Smackdown roster last month, and it looked like their issues would get some resolution with Swagger's blue brand debut match on last week's show. Instead, things got even muddier when the referee mistook Corbin's reaching for the ropes as a submission and called for the bell.
That's set up a rematch between the two men at No Mercy (or the No Mercy kickoff show, to be accurate) and this time, the finish should be more decisive - unfortunately, that doesn't say much. There's still plenty of room for another ending that attempts to protect the loser, but only ends up stifling the winner.
No matter who wins, expect some chicanery. Maybe Corbin - whom WWE seems invested in pushing - will cheat to beat the long-dormant Swagger. Maybe in an attempt to revitalize "The All-American American," Swagger will pick up the win after another unfortunate mishap for "The Lone Wolf." Either way, the loser will save a little face.
