10 Last-Minute WWE No Mercy 2017 Rumours You Need To Know
3. Jason Jordan Becomes Intercontinental Champion
As absurd as it is, the storyline that has seen Jason Jordan revealed as Kurt Angle's son has one benefit - it ensures that WWE will be pushing Jordan as long as Angle is on TV. As such, the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion won a six-pack challenge on Raw, earning the right to challenge The Miz for the Intercontinental Title at No Mercy.
There has been much discussion over what will happen in this match, with many fans feeling that the program is still too young for Jordan to unseat Miz. However, Jordan can still win and continue to feud with the former WWE Champion - after all, he'll have a rematch clause coming. There's much mileage left in this program, but that doesn't mean the title can't change now.
Since the revelation that Jordan is Angle's son, WWE hasn't really gone whole hog with the former American Alpha member's push. Now is the time to do just that, and with the stock of the Intercontinental Title having been elevated over the past year and a half, a win would serve Jordan well.
