10 Last-Minute WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line Rumors You Need To Know
Best friends falling out? HHH returns?
This Sunday, WWE presents Roadblock: End of the Line - the final Pay-Per-View event of the calendar year. If it seems like there hasn't been a whole lot of buzz around the show, that's no accident. Ever since WWE reintroduced split-brand PPVs, there's been less of a push for each show. While TLC was an exception due to the strong card and gimmick, December's Raw offering is typically underwhelming.
The bright spot on the card is a Sasha Banks versus Charlotte Iron Man match for the Raw Women's Championship which will potentially bring an end to their classic feud. Apart from that, though, there's really nothing noteworthy scheduled for the event. Roman Reigns haters were undoubtedly expecting his return to the main event to be irritating, but even they probably didn't expect it to be just plain boring. As for Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins, while both are world-class talents, it feels like they've already been wrestling each other for many months.
Still, 2016 has been a wild year, and it's possible WWE could see it off in surprising fashion. Here are ten last-minute rumors you need to know for Roadblock: End of the Line. As always, I've ranked them in order from the least plausible to the most plausible.
10. Brock Lesnar And/Or Goldberg Will Show Up
At Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg clashed in a rematch that was more than 12 years in the making. To the shock of just about everyone watching, Goldberg defeated Lesnar soundly, pinning him in under a minute and a half.
It turns out that was only a chapter in their rivalry, and both men will (presumably) meet again in the Royal Rumble match. Goldberg announced his intention to compete in the bout and earn one more title shot, while Paul Heyman vowed that Lesnar would be in the match as well.
With the Rumble a little over a month away, it might make sense for either Lesnar or Goldberg (or both men) to show up at Roadblock in order to drum up a little bit of interest. The truth is, though, WWE doesn't work that way. They advertise both men's appearances weeks in advance, and they save them for Raw, where millions of people are watching, not B-level PPVs that make no money and have a fraction of the audience.
If you want to see either man, watch Raw in January. Definitely don't tune into Roadblock expecting a surprise cameo.
