10 Last-Minute WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line Rumors You Need To Know
9. Roman Reigns Becomes Universal Champion
By all logic, the main event of Roadblock: End of the Line should feel like a major contest. The Universal Champion, who's been one of WWE's most consistent performers over the last year-plus, is defending his title against the United States Champion, the most pushed (and most polarizing) star in the company.
Unfortunately, reality says otherwise. Owens has been booked horribly as Universal Champion, with the company making him look weak at every opportunity and devaluing the title in the process. Meanwhile, Reigns was meant to be kept out of the main event until fans started warming up to him, but it didn't work, and he's back so soon that his championship chase feels incredibly tired.
Despite the fact that Reigns is WWE's top priority, even Vince McMahon has to realize that now isn't the right time for him to become a world champion again. Fans are still so tired of "The Guy," and he's the reigning U.S. titleholder. While nobody should expect a decisive victory from Owens, logic points to more of the same leading to more of the same.
