6. Baron Corbin Puts John Cena Out Of Action
John Cena's string of classic SummerSlam matches is slated to come to an end on Sunday, as he'll be in action against Baron Corbin. The feud between the two men has been less than inspired, but as Cena cost Corbin the title shot that he got by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, "The Lone Wolf" is undoubtedly out for blood.
Cena has reached the point in his career where he's a part-time wrestler, and any time he's around, speculation soon turns to when he'll be leaving. Indeed, as the 16-time champion has been announced for the upcoming Transformers spinoff, he'll have to get back to Hollywood before too long. Exactly when he'll be leaving is unknown, but it would make sense for the movie to film in the fall so Cena can come back in time for the road to WrestleMania.
WWE could use SummerSlam to engineer an angle where Corbin puts Cena on the shelf. Not only would that write Cena off for a bit, but it would give Corbin some much-needed momentum. More likely, though, when Cena leaves he'll just leave - every other time he's departed for filming commitments, it's been without an explanation.
