10 Last-Minute WWE Survivor Series 2016 Predictions
1. Not The Last We’ve Seen Of Goldberg…
I know Goldberg made a pretty big point of telling Lesnar that he was going to be his “last” opponent, but I have a sneaky suspicion that this won’t be the last we see of him in a WWE ring.
Personally I think the entire Goldberg return angle has been a raging success so far—it’s certainly exceeded my own expectations at least. The fans are into it, Goldberg seems to be having a pretty great time, and so it seems fairly likely that there could be a slightly more prolonged run for him on the horizon, particularly when you consider that WrestleMania season is right around the corner.
I guess the only question mark surrounds whether or not he can still actually deliver the goods in the ring—quite a fundamental factor in the equation, to be fair. But as mentioned in the previous entry, ring-rust or a lack of match fitness can be atoned for in many ways, and so I’m sure the company will present Goldberg in a manner that masks any weaknesses and accentuates his positives.
Providing that happens, I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t get another one or two matches out of this Goldberg run—and based on the glimpses we’ve seen of him thus far, I would be totally fine with that arrangement.
