4. Sami Zayn Wins But Is Traded To SmackDown

Maybe I’m just getting caught up in the idea of swerve-type finishes, but hear me out on this one.

Much like the Cruiserweight Championship, the Intercontinental title will be on the line at Survivor Series, with the winner of the Miz vs. Sami Zayn taking the belt back home to his respective brand. And it may seem like a bit of a stretch to suggest that Zayn will win the belt, only to be traded to SmackDown right away, but this is another potential avenue that the writers have teased to a degree as of late.

It’s no secret that the Miz, the current champ, and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan aren’t the biggest fans of one another. However, Bryan’s recent retirement means that there’s practically zero chance of that animosity ever materialising into a match, so there’s not too much point in pursuing this angle.

Meanwhile, Bryan has been vocal about his fondness of Zayn and has even suggested that Zayn himself would like to be traded to Bryan’s show. So with all that in mind, it seems like a good opportunity to nip the Bryan vs. Miz feud in the bud and afford Zayn a fresh start by having him win the title this Sunday, only to take it right back to SmackDown with Miz heading in the opposite direction.
