3. Rusev Wins The U.S. Title
The evening after Payback, Rusev won a battle royal to claim a shot at U.S. Champion Kalisto. In the subsequent weeks, the way the company has booked Rusev (hooking him back up with Lana, in particular) has indicated that they're actually interested in giving him back some of the momentum he had in 2014.
Many people expect Rusev to capture the U.S. Title, if for no other reason than to drop it to John Cena (who's returning on the Memorial Day episode of Raw). I would have considered Rusev a guarantee to pick up the win were it not for the fact that news is emerging that the company wants to find a female star to team with Kalisto in a feud against "The Bulgarian Brute" and Lana.
If true, that means that WWE wants the feud between Rusev and Kalisto to last past Extreme Rules, which means that Kalisto may very well end up winning their first face-off. I'd still call Rusev the clear favorite, but it doesn't seem as certain as it did before.
