10 Last-Minute WWE Money In The Bank 2016 Rumors You Need To Know

5. A MITB Cash-In

As soon as a new Money in the Bank holder is crowned, he's allowed to cash in his contract on the champion. If the WWE Championship match goes on last (and it almost certainly will), does that mean that we'll see someone cash in the same evening they won the briefcase?

It wouldn't be without precedent - in 2010, Kane won the World Heavyweight Title Money in the Bank match, then cashed in on Rey Mysterio about half an hour later. Still, it's worth mentioning that back then, there were two briefcases, so even with Kane's cash-in, WWE could still promote a "Mr. Money in the Bank" for several months afterwards.

This year, there's one briefcase, and if it's gone a couple of hours after it gets won, there's been a whole lot of buildup for not too much action. The gimmick would still be intact in the sense that the champion would be surprised and ripe for defeat, but it seems underwhelming.

There is the built-in storyline aspect that whoever wins the briefcase could cash in during the main event, giving Seth Rollins a taste of his own medicine (and subjecting Reigns to an unfair disadvantage once again), so it's not impossible - just unlikely.
