10 Last-Minute WWE Payback 2016 Rumors You Need To Know
4. Finn Balor Debuts
Ever since the news broke that Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows were leaving New Japan for WWE, Finn Balor has been teasing a Bullet Club reunion on social media. Now that Gallows and Anderson have debuted on TV and Balor has lost the NXT Championship, there's nothing stopping the trio from reuniting anytime and anywhere.
Payback in Chicago would be an auspicious start for Balor Club (or Bulletproof, or whatever name they use), and there's no doubt that the fans would go wild for the WWE debut of both Balor and the unit. That said, it's possible that WWE wants to go with a slow burn when it comes to piecing the stable together.
Since arriving in WWE, Anderson and Gallows have been linked with AJ Styles, who took over Balor's role as Bullet Club's ace when the Irishman left New Japan for WWE. The Styles association seems temporary, and fans are waiting for Balor to show up, reunite with his comrades, and begin feuding with Styles. While I fully expect the seeds for Balor's imminent debut to be planted at Payback, I'm not as certain that we'll be seeing the man himself. That may come later.
