Mustafa Ali has to ditch the RETRIBUTION schtick.

Continuing to be associated with WWE's worst-booked faction of the last decade will get the guy nowhere. Switching to his pro-American gimmick - or just being his actual self, depending on how you view it - that he's been posting on Instagram would provide the new start for him that he needs.

Like a few of the names on this list, Ali has entered a Money in the Bank bout before, competing during the 2019 version of the match. Here, he was majorly used as a training dummy, being flung around the ring by your Drew McIntyres and Baron Corbins, before surprise replacement Brock Lesnar ruined his chances of winning last-minute because lol.

While Mustafa Ali having a guaranteed WWE Championship opportunity may seem a tad odd, the guy will undoubtedly be able to pull it off. He's made everything thrown at him work thus far because he commits to the character, regardless of the situation. Again, like Nikki Cross, it would be a complete swerve by having him lift the briefcase; no-one would be able to predict it.

WWE rarely executes a swerve that people actually want to see - this goes without saying. By pulling the trigger on Mustafa Ali, however, there's potential to please the fans and push a guy fully deserving of such a position. It won't happen, though.
