10 Leading Contenders To Win 2021 WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Matches
6. Bayley
WWE failed miserably with regards to their usage of Bayley post-SmackDown Women's Championship reign.
'The Role Model' was easily one of the greatest acts of the empty arena era, having already established this new character perfectly a few months before crowds were banished. Her story with and against Sasha Banks made for some of the most compelling storyline advancement in recent WWE history during a time when no one was in the building to applaud them.
Yet, at WrestleMania 37, Banks was main eventing the Saturday portion of the show vs. Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair, while Bayley was being shafted by the likes of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and The nWo.
They let her down massively, but Money in the Bank is the place to change this. Bayley is, of course, a former winner of the match, cashing in successfully on Charlotte Flair following her 2019 victory. A repeat of this win and cash-in on, let's say, current champion Bianca would immediately recement Bayley as that top blue brand heel she was destined to be ever since she assaulted the Bayley Buddies on that fateful October 2019 evening.
There's no way she's lifting the title from Belair at WrestleMania Backlash, but further down the line, she damn well better.
