10 Least Anticipated WWE Returns

1. Marty Jannetty

Far too many returns for 'the other Rocker'. Returns not many people wanted to see, all of which makes you wonder what Vince McMahon saw in him that almost every member of the WWE Universe missed. After his initial run with Shawn Michaels in the Rockers tag team came to an end, Jannetty was actually released from his contract after a number of misdemeanours, including six months of house arrest after attacking a police officer, before returning a short while later and given a run as Intercontinental Champion and tag team champ with 1-2-3 Kid. He was then released again after controversies surrounding Charles Austin, a jobber that suffered a broken neck at the hands of The Rockers and won no less than $26 in damages. Return number two coincided with Michaels' push to the top of the card. The pair's kayfabe bad blood wasn't allowed to fester into any further story lines so Marty was thrust back into the tag team scene with Razor Ramon in a feud with Sycho Sid and the now heel 1-2-3 Kid. Return number three happened in the build up to WrestleMania XXI. The Heart Break Kid was feuding with Kurt Angle and the Olympic Gold Medalist saw Jannetty as the perfect guy to get him ready for Mr WrestleMania on the grandest stage of them all. In all fairness, Jannetty proved he could still go, and them some, performing so well that it earned him another contract with WWE. However, more personal problems saw him released a short time later. Then, and this is getting exhausting now, Marty reappeared on WWE television when he helped Michaels fight off The Spirit Squad. He was then supposed to team up with HBK in a feud against the McMahon's, but missed a TV appearance and was again released. A short while later, it was then announced on WWE.com that Jannetty had signed a new contract and would be returning as a veteran to work with younger talent. WWE.com also stated that Jannetty, along with Brad Armstrong and Rodney Mack, could also be granted full-time contracts pending the success of this initial venture. Marty however, was released a short time later. After making a string of other appearances, he made his final return to WWE in 2009 in a losing effort against The Miz on Raw.
