There's a certain type of style that appeals to the modern wrestling fan and Dave Taylor's 'World of Sport' mat based technique isn't one of them. So why did WWE feel the need to bring him back into out consciousness after he had drifted into the wilderness? The much travelled Taylor, who represented WCW for five years up until 2000, was hired as a WWE trainer in 2006. However, his good friend and fellow Englishman William Regal blatantly pulled a few strings and got Dave a spot on the card as part of the most uninspiring tag team in WWE history. Effective? Yes. Nice to watch? No. After the pair failed to capture SmackDown's WWE Tag Team Championships, they embarked on the rather farcical feud with Kane and The Boogeyman before they split. Taylor was then paired with Paul Burchill which saw his WWE run peter out. Not that anyone was majorly bothered, of course...
