Sometimes you just have to let certain things go, and this seemingly was the attitude of the WWE Universe when it came to The Legion Of Doom. They belonged, and owned the tag team scene in a completely generation, something those who followed them way back when will never forget. The number of times they tried to make a comeback reached near farcical levels, and went a long way to ruining their mystique. This entry surrounds Road Warrior Animals return to the WWE in 2005, a run that included a run with SmackDown's WWE Tag Team Championships but was neither sought after nor successful. After making what turned out to be a compellingly successful return to WWE during the Attitude Era, Hawk and Animal made a series of returns in the early naughties with very little in the way of success. Unfortunately, Hawk's death in 2003 seemed to signal the end of the team, but you wouldn't have through Animal ever considered this as he returned yet again in 2005, teaming with Heidenreich. Unsurprisingly, the combination just didn't work and wasn't accepted by the WWE Universe. The Road Warriors, or Legion Of Doom if you will, will always consist of Hawk and Animal. No one else. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxxbln_mnm-with-melina-vs-road-warrior-animal-jon-heidenreich_sport
