10 Least Effective WWE World Champions Ever

Jack Swagger's 82 days as World Heavyweight Champion way back in 2010 must have been an accident, right? Even before Swagger unclasped the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania XXVI his run was doomed, as it seemed to take The All-American American forever to make the briefcase his. He didn't hold onto it long however, cashing it in on an injured Chris Jericho on the very next episode of SmackDown.

Swagger's title reign was treated like the accident it may well have been, and Swagger was made to look like a total buffoon the entire time. He immediately lost to The Undertaker on RAW, and whilst there is no shame there the rest of his reign didn't cover the patriot in glory.

After defeating Randy Orton (do all new champions have to feud with Randy Orton?), Swagger was shunted into a feud with Big Show that made him look out of his depth once more, before finally dropping the championship to equally-ineffective champion Rey Mysterio at Fatal 4 Way.

The only positive to come out of the reign was that Swagger was given the Ankle Lock as a finishing move, although he didn't exactly get to use it that often. Swagger is the most forgotten of champions, a man who became a world champion despite being booked as someone a league below everyone else in the briefcase match. Everything that is wrong about the Money in the Bank concept can be found in 'The All-American American', Jack Swagger.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
