10 Least Likely WWE Ladder Match Competitors Ever
3. Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash was supposed to have his big blowoff with Triple H at the 2011 Survivor Series, but it was delayed a month because The Rock was coming back and they didn't want any of the shine to be taken off of Big Sexy's first WWE match in eight years.
That was fine by Nash, but he couldn't fathom why WWE painted him into a corner by having their match be contested under ladder match rules (with a sledgehammer the prize for the successful climber). He was 52-years-old and broken down and felt as though he was destined to fail.
He'd never had a ladder match before, but he studied a bunch of them to try and find four things that he could do in those surroundings. Eschewing climbing and big bumps and focusing on making the match as vicious as possible, Nash nonetheless put the effort in and he and The Game just about pulled it off.
Nash even took a bump off the top of the ladder through a table at the end of the match, showing his commitment. He got through it and didn't expose himself, which was good news for him, Triple H and WWE, but it's still a bit of a head-scratcher as to why he was even booked in the stipulation bout in the first place.
A very, very unlikely ladder match participant, to say the least.
