10 Least Likely WWE Ladder Match Competitors Ever
4. Jerry Lawler
Jerry Lawler would always gush on commentary about how crazy the Hardys, Dudleys and Edge & Christian were during their ladder and TLC matches of the early 2000s. He'd marvel at their falls and stunts, usually drawing attention to the 'Wile E. Coyote cam' replay, which really showed just how nuts they were.
Don't let the man sitting behind the desk fool you, though; Jerry 'The King' Lawler is as tough as they come and probably about five times crazier than most of the men who have stepped foot in a WWE locker room. Hell, this was a man who had Eddie Gilbert run him down in a car, for real, for the purposes of an angle in the Memphis territory. Nuts.
It was unlikely, however, to see semi-retired colour commentator Jerry Lawler compete in a TLC match with new WWE Champion The Miz in the main event of the November 29th 2010 episode of Raw. Both men were TLC match virgins but they put on a great show, with Miz doing most of the bumping and Lawler taking a lot of punishment courtesy of some stiff chair shots.
Nobody expected to see Lawler in a TLC match with The Miz, of all people, but they pulled it off and delivered a great main event.
