10 Legendary Wrestlers Who Grappled Bears

2. Carlos Colon

WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colon had a brutal encounter with Terrible Ted in 1995. However, the original bear who played the role was confiscated by the Ontario Humane Society back in 1978 and had not been seen in public since; the grizzly who faced the Puerto Rican legend was most certainly a different Terrible Ted.

The footage of the encounter would seem to indicate that the grappling bear was in a foul mood on this particular occasion. In the grainy video, the large beast can be seen violently tossing Colon into another wrestler. When Colon goes after the bear again, the animal responds by biting his arm.

This particular bear did not appear to be as docile and well-trained as the animals seen in the previous videos. Despite being relatively brief, this footage serves as a reminder of just how violent professional bear wrestling can truly be.
