10 Legendary Wrestlers Who Just Couldn't Face Retirement

4. Kurt Angle

Almost an American version of Mutoh, Kurt Angle is often referred to as a machine, one who has suffered physical set-back after physical set-back, yet shows no sign of retiring any time soon. It's been brought up in conversation, but Angle simply laughs off the thought of ending his lengthy career, instead repeating over and over that he feels great. The fact of the matter is that this simply can't be true - Angle has put his body through the proverbial ringer, and must be paying the price for doing so. A serious neck injury in 2003 should have spelled the end for the Olympic Gold Medal winner, but he shockingly has had many of his best matches since then, in both WWE and TNA. Who knows if fans will ever see Kurt Angle back in a WWE ring. There's every chance of it happening at some point, so long as he's still active, but Vince McMahon and company seem more than a little troubled by Angle's physical problems. Shedding some muscle weight has helped lengthen the man's tenure, but how he has even made it to this point - after all the injuries and abuse to his body - is astounding.
