10 Most Legendary Wrestling Commentators Of All Time

10. Vince McMahon

A lot of what made Vince so legendary on commentary wasn't so much what he said, it was more about how he said it. Though Vince is gifted on the microphone, proving that much during his blockbuster rivalry with Stone Cold Steve Austin, his time in the announce booth is not without some merit. His stilted, awkward sense of being almost like your dad on commentary was part of what made him so charming to listen to. In the truest sense of "so bad it's good", Vince is like the Plan 9 of commentary. He had his own line of catchphrases and Vince-isms, sometimes seeming like a soundboard. But even with all of these hilariously bad moments in the booth, Vince would sometimes produce quality stuff. His call of Shawn Michael's zip-line descent to the ring at WrestleMania XII is iconic, and his boisterous belly laugh is infectious. He was joined by Randy Savage during the early days of Monday Night Raw, and their silly banter was often enough for you to forget how terrible Rob Bartlett was in the job next to them. Vince may have lacked the sophistication of Gordon Solie, but he was massively entertaining in his own right.
