Imagine doing anything other than crumpling into a distressed heap upon feeling your retina detach? Further to that, imagine having to engage in physical activity following such an incredibly horrendous sensation? Well, just ask Daniel Bryan how it feels, because the tough son-of-a-gun not only failed to roll over and collapse in pain, he dusted himself off and proceeded to finish a pro wrestling match after suffering the nasty eye injury. Working against Takeshi Morishima - himself a pretty tough dude - Bryan felt his retina rip, yet continued to work for another 20 minutes or so. Of course, this didn't happen during his WWE career, it was during a match in Ring Of Honor at the Manhattan Mayhem show in 2007. It's that kind of dedication to providing the fans with entertainment that has earned Bryan a reputation as one of the gutsiest guys in the profession. The immense physical style favoured by the man may have caught up with him now, as injuries threaten to derail his entire career, but there can be little doubt that Daniel Bryan has more than earned his stripes. Many have argued that it was stupid to continue wrestling with such a major eye injury, but it's a testament to just how much Bryan loves wrestling that he was willing to proceed with the bout.
