10 Lessons WWE Could Learn From Lucha Underground

7. Showcasing A Diversity Of Styles Makes For A Better Wrestling Program

Man versus woman wrestling may seem bizarre on the surface, but when you slide it into a wrestling program filled with dudes wrestling dudes and women wrestling women, it works. The same goes for American heavyweights versus luchadores, and more. While as a corporate brand WWE is very much against having men wrestle women, it doesn't mean that the company shouldn't be actively searching for as many talented performers proficient at a plethora of unique styles as possible. The last pro wrestling company that successfully challenged WWE was WCW, and the sheer number of styles available in great number on the Nitro broadcast is what ultimately made that program unique. In borrowing from the fact that Lucha Underground is dipping their toe into diversifying the styles of contests and types of performers wrestling each other, WWE could greatly benefit.
