10 Lessons WWE WrestleMania 36 Needs To Learn From WrestleMania 35
7. Pace The Show Better
WrestleMania is long now. Like, really long.
That is something WWE fans around the world have reluctantly come to accept and the age old adage of 'less is more' is a truth which Vince McMahon simply refuses to exercise.
However, with the length of the show only set to inevitably grow this year, that doesn't mean those countless hours have to plod along as they have done in recent memory.
Instead of trying to shove back-to-back slog fests down the throats of the enduring live crowd - equipped with bloated entrances and video packages - WWE need to work harder at producing a card which showcases a variety of different match lengths and styles. The audience need to feel as though they're being swept away by the unpredictable event, not trying their hardest to stay awake.
Last year, WWE threw the pedestrian Roman Reigns Vs Drew McIntyre showdown, Triple H and Batista's overlong battle of the cool dads and Kurt Angle's swansong Vs the momentum killer himself, Baron Corbin onto the back-end of the card and pretty much killed off the 'Mania fans before the historic main event even took to the stage.
If WWE are to stand any chance in keeping the audience inside Raymond James Stadium and fans in homes around the world awake long enough to celebrate the show's closing spectacle, they need to pace themselves better and scatter these plodding bouts in-between the high octane action they will no doubt present on the night, too.
