10 Lessons WWE WrestleMania 36 Needs To Learn From WrestleMania 35

8. Eliminate Part-Timers

First of all, it's always nice to see a legend show up at WrestleMania, especially if said icon is synonymous with the event. But, in consistently falling back on this trope in order to cheaply pop the thousands in attendance, WWE frequently come across as desperate and unconfident in their current stars' abilities to elicit an eruption from the 'Mania crowd.

Last year, instead of opting to solely give Alexa Bliss a platform to entertain the WWE Universe, WWE felt the need to shove Hulk Hogan in our faces. This took the spotlight away from Bliss and produced an audible split in the audience, which were half happy to see the 'Hulkster' and half despising his very presence in the building.

Also, it was lovely to see Batista get some closure on his WWE career on the Grandest Stage against Triple H. However, those 25 minutes could have been used to give Seth Rollins a bit more of an epic showdown with Brock Lesnar or perhaps a young starlet could have been given the Triple H 'Mania rub, instead.

Part-time appearances are designed to get casual fans' eyes on the product. But, did Batista, Hogan or even Lesnar's aura on the night really draw that many more people into signing up to the WWE Network?

Probably not.

In fairness, last year's event definitely saw a real drop in part-timers on the epic stage, compared to recent events. Now if WWE were to just leave them to one side completely at 'Mania 36, they may even leave themselves some space to create new stars.

Imagine that.
